How to use the Curtain Size Calculator
Measure the full visible width of the window in millimetres. Add 100–150 mm per side for overlap if you want privacy or full blackout.
Measure from curtain track or rod to where you want the curtain to finish (sill or floor). For floor length, measure to the floor and subtract any clearance you prefer (10–20 mm).
Use 1.5× for a neat modern look, 2× for fuller traditional pleats. The calculator multiplies width by your chosen fullness.
Select usable fabric width (ask your supplier). Add heading and hem allowances (defaults provided). If matching a vertical pattern, add the pattern repeat in mm.
Quick checklist — copy to phone notes: Width (mm), Drop (mm), Fullness (×), Fabric width (mm), Heading mm, Hem mm, Pattern repeat mm (if any).
